COVID-19 Policy

From the 4th of April 2022, in line with government advice, a vaccine pass is no longer required to gain access to our park.

We do still have in place our COVID-19 Safety Guidelines which are:

MASK WEARING – Face masks must be worn inside our reception, bathrooms, kitchen and TV room areas. Masks are available for purchase at the camp shop.

HAND HYGIENE –  Please use hand sanitisers located around the shared facilities.

VISITORS – Visitors will need to complete our visitor register at reception and pay the relevant visitor fee upon arrival at reception.

SHARED FACILITIES – Our communal facilities are disinfected throughout the day. Disinfectant spray is also available for guests to use in the communal areas.

STAFF – All staff at the Rakaia River Holiday Park are fully vaccinated.

SYMPTOMS – Should you have any flu or COVID-19 symptoms before arrival please contact us to postpone your booking and seek advice on getting tested. If you develop symptoms during your stay, please stay in your accommodation and contact Healthline on 0800 358 5453 and advise reception on 03 3027257

CHANGE OF RESTRICTIONS – If your travel is impacted by COVID-19 related travel restrictions imposed by the NZ government, we will work with you to re-schedule your booking to another date of your choice, or provide you with a credit. If you need to change your booking for any non-COVID-19 related reason, then our standard terms and conditions apply.

COVID-19 remains extremely contagious and even given the safety strategies above, there is a risk of exposure anywhere where people gather, which cannot be removed. Acceptance of this risk is assumed by you when you come to stay.

Thank you for your understanding. Any questions please email us at or phone us on (03) 3027 257.
